Shanti products are formulated by Gregory V. Pillai
IBM, MNMS, FIAS, who qualified in India in the herbal sciences of
Ayurveda and Siddha, which have been practised for centuries. Dr
Gregory has incorporated the wisdom of both western and eastern
herbal knowledge in formulating and preparing Shanti's herbal remedies.
Shanti means "peace and tranquillity of mind
and body" in ancient Sanskrit script. Gregory comes from the
third generation of herbalists and, consequently, the desire to
help others through a holistic approach in healing has always been
paramount in his mind. Today, Shanti products is run by Donna Cooper,
a mother of three children who has a special interest in child health
and therapy. Since a very early age Donna has had a desire to encourage
others to use complimentary therapies and to introduce a new way
of life to help heal and to allow others to benefit from the knowledge
she has been given. Donna, is a family friend of Dr Gregory, and
has worked under his instruction and supervision, hand blending
oils in exactly the same way ensuring that Shanti maintains the
same ethos and continuation that makes its products unique. supervision

The preparations are blends of pure essential oils,
plant oils and infused oils from herbs grown . Both Donna and
Gregory are devoted to the healing science and their herbal remedies
are individually hand-prepared with prayer. Plants contain the
life force in their bio-chemicals and nutrients, which can heal
and maintain good health and harmony of the body and mind.
When the Shanti oils and lotions are massaged they
are absorbed through the pores of the skin into the circulatory
and nervous systems of the body. The preparations have been found
to help in treating many conditions, including arthritis, rheumatic
aches and pains and skin and hair conditions. Preparations can
be made specially to suit individual needs for nominal extra charge.
Gregory will give advice on diet, therapeutic yoga, mental adjustment
and general lifestyle. Regular practice of selected yoga positions
(Asanas) will help to reduce stiffness and pain and maintain good
health, peace and tranquillity of mind and spirit.
